SEO: S.earch E.ngine O.ptimisation - making your blogs and webpages 'read best' for the search engines. You want your blogs and pages to be read well by, then listed highly in the lists that search engines put out.
Resales: Products that you have the right to acquire, then turn around and SELL. These can be videos, reports, ebook creators/readers and other software, courses, ebooks, and all kinds of things. The point is, you acquire the products, whatever they are and then you can resell the products. Resales are one of the biggest money-makers online.
Blogging: Used to be called 'weBLOGs' or web logs, and were mostly used in 'diary' type fashion until about 8 years ago.
Search Engines LIKE BLOGS. They like blogs A LOT! Part of the reason is because blogs generally GET USED and updated OFTEN, as compared with some websites. Often, a person puts up a website with a set purpose and it's not really good to go in and change your website all around, change content and such on a daily or weekly basis. In fact, if you do this with a website, often this can confuse the search engines and mess ya up!
So the best bet is to set up your website with fairly static/stable QUALITY content, then use your BLOG for all the additional, fluctuating material. Send a link from your blogs, where your articles vary, back to your site with the stable content, and this will help your search engine rankings on both your blog and website.
Here's a little mini-blueprint.
1. Set up your 'static' material - your website, then put your resale products and links into your website, along with a few articles that pump up the products you have there PLUS an article or two on 'how to use' a particular product or 'how to do' something specific (ie: "how to keep your emails organized" or "how to use 'filters' in your gmail account"). Make sure these articles are GOOD CONTENT, then leave them quite alone!
With the above you have taken care of your website and have used your resale product links.
2. Set up a blog strictly to correspond with your website. (Don't put any 'hey guess what I did this weekend' posts on it unless your activity was "I found a new resale product that is simply FABULOUS!"). Occasionally you will make a change to your website, so when this happens, you announce this change on your blog right away, for sure! Keep writing 'how to' articles or 'this is inside the package' posts on your blog about 'how to' utilize particular functions of different resale products you have on your site. Link back to your site each time you write an article with something like "Here's the product explained in this tutorial/'how to' post."
This is very, VERY minor SEO, creating links back to your site that are totally valid, non-spam, and accepted by search engines. Search engines WANT TO SEE links to 'related sites' and 'related material,' so if you concentrate with your blog, in writing good articles and linking these back to your website where your resale products are sitting, you have a 3-way opportunity to be successful!
Firstly, your blog will keep getting updated with good content that leads somewhere, so search engines will rank it accordingly. Secondly, you link TO your website with relevant material, so your website gets traffic and 'the eye of SEO/search engines' upon it. Thirdly, your resale products, which you have been writing about, have good explanations written about them and are sitting there, waiting, ready for people to scoop up from your website.
There are hundreds of HEAVY DUTY SEO tactics, but all of them must start with basically this:
1. A Site
2. Products
3. A Blog leading viewers to 1 and 2.
Once you get 1, 2, and 3 put together, you can move on into almost INFINITE methods of earning online.
"Multiple Online Income Streams"
That's what all the big Gurus say you'll have to develop if you want to become wealthy online have have a successful, profitable business.
This site is designed to house all the information that will possibly FIT here - about all the types of online earning programs that people are using to create and maintain an income online.
Internet Marketing as a main job activity is quite confusing - with the Gurus on one hand telling you,
"Multiple Streams! You've Gotta create Multiple Streams of Income..."
Meanwhile - then you have all the GURUS telling you,
"STAY FOCUSED!!! You've got to focus on ONE THING!"
So that's about all there is to Internet Marketing when it all comes down to GETTING DOWN TO IT.
There are GURUS on one hand, and GURUS on the other hand, too - and they both say opposite things...
Kind of...
There are Affilate programs, Website Building, Web-Hosting, Domain hosting, blogging, Adsense and their advertising competitors, music sales, eBay auctions and sales, info-marketing, email marketing, any-kind-of-marketing, investments, product creation programs, eBook selling and creation, gaming, tech-testing, wide-reach focus groups, academic education, hobby education, hobbies themselves, communications, graphic art, regular art being sold, self-help, self-development and anything to do with self improvement and changing the self - regular 'hardcopy,' 'hardware,' goods and services advertising online, as well as new advertising creeping up on us daily that wasn't even possible last week - as technology, population growth and knowledge advances, the list goes on and on. And on and on and...
And on!
Man - if you can't find something to do online to earn money - you just aren't TRYING HARD ENOUGH! Or - you aren't adapting to the online environment - but keep trying because...
Basically if you want to earn money online, nothing is really stopping you...
...Except, possibly, 'not knowing how.'
Don't fret - the list really does go on and on - I haven't even mentioned how many of the old 'Brick-and-Mortar' businesses have yet to convert to Internet Sales, ordering, profit-sharing, investing, etc.
I can pretty much just put 'etc' on the end of every sentence when talking about 'ways to make money on line'
etc
